Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA) is a nonprofit organization that provides free civil legal services and related education to low-income and disadvantaged residents living in the 68 counties of central, south, and west Texas. TRLAs mission is to promote the dignity, self-sufficiency, security, and stability of low-income residents of Texas. As the largest provider of free civil legal services in Texas and the third largest in the nation, TRLA serves approximately 25,000 income-eligible clients per year. TRLAs legal services are organized around eight broad groups, including Labor and Employment, Disaster Assistance, Public Benefits, Housing, Family, Economic and Social Justice, Individual Rights and Victims Rights. In addition, TRLA provides legal aid for survivors of sexual assault in Northwest and Southwest Texas and serves migrant and seasonal farm workers across Texas and in six southern states.
